The Master of Science Program in Mathematics offers thesis and non-thesis options. The thesis option requires a minimum of 21 credit hours of coursework, a non-credit seminar course, and completion of a Master of Science Thesis. The thesis option requires a minimum of 12 credits of the course load from MATH coded courses, in which 9 credits are from the compulsory courses MATH511, MATH 521 ve MATH541, and 3 credits may be taken from upper level undergraduate MATH coded courses. The remaining nine-credit course requirement can be completed by courses offered in other graduate programs. The non-thesis option requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework and completion of a Master of Science Project. This option requires a minimum of 15 credits of the course load from MATH coded courses, in which 9 credits are from the compulsory courses MATH511, MATH 521 ve MATH541, and 6 credits may be taken from upper level undergraduate MATH coded courses. The remaining 15 credit course requirement can be completed by courses offered in other graduate programs. Registration in any course requires advisor approval.
