Introducing theoretical knowledge of photography, its theory, procedure and tools for the basic procedure for adaptation and design projects. Definition of photography and its concept. Timeline: Camera Obscura. Camera and the principles of how a camera works. Eye and camera coordination. Applied studies.

This course aims to discuss political, social, cultural and economic transformations in the 19th century in their relation with the formation of the Republican Turkey and focuses on the modernization process in the early republican period until 1945.

Completion of A1 level in the English language according to CEFR. Alphabet, numbers, and pronunciation. Basic vocabulary and grammar to communicate in daily life through reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

In this lecture, the components of film language will be analysed. The purpose of the lecture is to gain an upper view to basic concepts of a film such as the basic components of cinematography and film making from the very first idea to editing.

Explanation of communication, explanation of language and its relationship with the thinking proces, culture, society and literature; written and oral communication; main characterisrics of the Turkish language; phrases and types of narration; expressional failure.

Transition to multi-party system, social transformation in 1960s and 1970s, as well as the demographical change, industrialization and new social movements. The coup d'état of 1980 and its aftermath, political and social polarization in 2000s.

Completion of A2 level according to CEFR. Communicative skills to express and understand a wide range of familiar topics through reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
